You are currently browsing the monthly archive for April 2011.

oh well… let’s get started.

  1. Firstly, make sure you are using Mozilla Firefox as your default browser and installed it to your basic drive which is “C:\” (it’s not really a must, though). Any other browser then you can skip this and start googling for more other information.
  2. Next, clear all of your Firefox caches. In case you’re using the same version of Firefox I’d use (3.6.16) and do NOT know how to clear your Firefox caches then follow this step.
Go to Tools >>> Options >>> Advance >>> Network  >>> Clear Now
For some reason you might want to change your space used for cache… Change it to 500mb (just do it for avoid any inconvenience).
  3. Go search any kind of video you want to watch and start streaming. Actually, Youtube is preferable. (meh, not it really matters anyway).
  4. Next, go to your Firefox cache inside your Mozilla folder and do NOT forget to set show your hidden folders settings.
Any case you’re a real noob then just follow me. Open your windows explorer go to “Tools” >>> “Folder Options” >>> “View” >>> “Show hidden files and folder” >>> “OK”.Next, Assuming you installed at the same path with me then go to
C:\ >>> Documents and Settings >>> “Your PC NAME” (mine is Digichara) >>> Local Settings (Yes, choose the transparent one) >>> Application Data (Yes, the transparent again) >>> Mozilla >>> Firefox >>> Profiles >>> “blahblahblah.default (just click the folder with .default at the end) >>> Cache.
  5. You’re almost done… Just assume you’re streaming a music video with 3-5 minutes duration then the approximated size of the file is 15-20 mb, you can start to pay attention to the size of files in there which is starting to get bigger. Set the Views into “Details” so you can see the difference, don’t forget to refresh the folder if there’s no change. Once you found the file that slightly has bigger size than others, remember it. It’s your prey. (LoL)
  6. WAIT until your video finished its streaming. When its done, go back to your cache folder, copy the “slightly bigger” files and paste it out of your firefox folder.Change the name of file altogether with its extension type (add an extension in any format you want for your saved videos)
ex: “du1909if0o09” >>> Lady Gaga – Bad Romance.avi (.mpeg; .flv; .DAT; etc etc)
the thumbnail of the file will change when you define its format type and you’re done.Again if you are a real noob and do NOT know how to change the file types then follow this:
Open your windows explorer and go to “Tools” >>> “Folder Options” >>> “View” >>> uncheck the “Hide extensions for known file types” >>> “OK”
  7. Thanks for your attention and I hope this trick will be helpful to you.

It’s been more than a month already but I still don’t have any idea about what to write. Tch… though I have much spare time but the idea won’t just popping out of nowhere…
